Congratulations! If you’re reading this your new bundle is probably rocking an extra chromosome, so welcome to The Lucky Few. If having a new baby weren’t hectic enough, you’re probably also dealing with a lot of new information being thrown your way in regards to your baby having Down syndrome. Don’t fret, you will in time be able to wrap your head around all of this. For now, make sure you take the time to enjoy your newborn; watch them sleep, count their toes, take in all the new baby smells and sounds. Your baby is perfect!

Project 321 Peel is here to be your circle of support. We’ve all been where you are right now, and we want you to know there is no right or wrong when it comes to your thoughts and feelings. Every question you have, big or small is important. Project 321 Peel is a safe space for you to be honest and open.

We hold Parent Network Meetings each month that are an open forum to discuss anything you wish; we encourage you to connect with us if you wish to have a more personal one-on-one meeting with one of our members.

Our welcome baskets came about when our founder, Paula Anderson, realized parents were leaving the hospital without the information they needed as they embarked on this beautiful new journey. My face may be different but my feelings the same I laugh and I cry. I take pride in my gains. I was sent here among you to teach you to love, As God in the Heavens looks down from above. To Him I’m no different; His love knows no bounds. It’s those here among you in cities and towns That judge me by standards that man has imparted. But the family He’s chosen will help me get started. For I’m one of His children so special and few That came here to learn the same lessons as you. That love is acceptance; it must come from the heart. We have the same purpose though not the same start. The Creator gave me life to live and embrace And I’ll do it as you do — just at my own pace.
